Day-wise Itinerary

  1. 01
    Day 1
    Cochin — Munnar

    Arrival & drive up to the hills

    You will be picked up from Cochin Airport or Ernakulam Railway Station and driven to Munnar — about a four-hour drive. Along the way, stop at waterfalls and natural scenic spots that mark the climb into the Western Ghats.

    On arrival at Munnar, check into your hotel and relax for the rest of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.

    Day 2
    Munnar

    Tea country & Nilgiri Thars

    After breakfast, spend the day exploring Munnar. Set at the confluence of three mountain streams — Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale — Munnar sits 1,600 metres above sea level and was once the summer resort of the British government in South India.

    Local sightseeing includes Mattupetty Dam, Kundale Lake and Echo Point. In the afternoon, proceed to Rajamalai where the rare Nilgiri Thar mountain goat can be spotted. Overnight stay in Munnar.

    Day 3
    Thekkady

    Spice country & Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

    After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady — about a four-hour drive. On arrival, check into your hotel and set out to explore one of the world's most fascinating wildlife reserves.

    The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in Thekkady spreads across 777 sq km, of which 360 sq km is thick evergreen forest. Noted for its geomorphology, wildlife diversity and scenic beauty, it was declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978.

    Optional experiences include boating on Periyar Lake, a spice plantation visit and elephant rides (available at additional cost). Overnight stay in Thekkady.

    Day 4
    Mararikulam

    Slow days on Kerala's cleanest beach

    Extolled as Kerala's cleanest beach sand, Mararikulam (Marari) is a typical fishing village on the southwest coast of Central Kerala. It offers an unblemished, pristine shoreline, swaying coconut palms, thatched huts and small paths crisscrossing through courtyards — with a striking view of the sunset.

    Experience the local charm with matchless traditional Kerala hospitality. Explore the stunning backwaters, the tranquility of the village and spectacular sceneries that promise a relaxing and inspiring day.

    Day 5
    Cochin

    Departure

    After breakfast, check out and drive to Cochin Airport or Railway Station (depending on your departure point) for your flight or train back home — feeling contented about a wonderful holiday spent in God's Own Country.
