Nine days across Kerala’s three signature landscapes — the colonial heritage of Cochin, the tea-clad slopes of Munnar, the wildlife of Thekkady, the surf-lined coast at Kovalam, the southern tip at Kanyakumari and the backwaters of Alleppey.
Stay in deluxe hotels on a breakfast and dinner plan, travel by private vehicle throughout, and let each stop settle into its own rhythm — from tea-museum mornings to lake cruises, beach sunsets and lantern-lit backwater evenings.
Arrive at Cochin Airport and be met by our chauffeur for the transfer to your hotel and check-in.
In the afternoon, set out for Cochin sightseeing — the Dutch Palace (built by the Portuguese in 1557 and later renovated by the Dutch), the Jewish Synagogue at Mattancherry (1568, the oldest in the Commonwealth), St. Francis Church (1510, the oldest European church in India), the iconic Chinese fishing nets at Fort Cochin, and Fort Cochin Beach.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, transfer to Munnar — 1,800 m above sea level and home to South India's highest peak, Anamudi (2,695 m). Stop en route at Valara and Cheeyappara waterfalls and the sweeping tea plantations.
On arrival, check into your hotel. In the afternoon, visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park, subject to forest authority timings) — the best place to spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. Continue to the Tea Museum, set inside working gardens, for a walk through Munnar's tea-making heritage.
Return to the hotel for dinner. Overnight in Munnar.
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day sightseeing tour of Munnar — Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothenmedu View Point and Blossom Park are among the highlights.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Thekkady, better known as Periyar — one of India's most famous wildlife sanctuaries. Check in at your hotel on arrival.
In the afternoon, board a game-viewing cruise on Periyar Lake to spot elephants, monkeys, deer and wild boar along the shore. Optional evening elephant ride at Periyar; the rest of the day is at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Kovalam. Check into your beach hotel and set out to explore.
Silhouetted against lush palm groves, Kovalam's crescent-shaped beaches are internationally acclaimed. Beyond the three main beaches — Lighthouse Beach, Eve's (Hawah) Beach and Ashok Beach — there are many quieter stretches down the coast from Vizhinjam to Poovar.
Overnight and dinner at the hotel.
After breakfast, head into Trivandrum for city sightseeing — Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, the Trivandrum Museum and Zoo, and the Veli Tourist Village.
Return to Kovalam for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, day trip to Kanyakumari — the Vivekananda Rock Memorial, the towering Thiruvalluvar Statue, the Triveni Sangam ghat where three seas meet, and one of India's most famous sunset points.
Return to Kovalam for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Alleppey. Check in and set out for local sightseeing.
Alappuzha has long held pride of place in Kerala's maritime story and is celebrated today for its boat races, backwater cruises, beaches, marine products and coir industry. Alappuzha Beach is a popular picnic spot; the 137-year-old pier extending into the sea and the old lighthouse nearby are especially atmospheric. The Vijaya Beach Park adds to the appeal.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, check out and drive to Cochin Airport for your onward flight, ending the journey with a suitcase full of Kerala memories.
